The Fairfield design is a classic medallion of the Louis De Poortere archive, featuring an elaborate border. It is partly erased as if it hasn't been used for decades and then been rediscovered in the attic.
Khayma stands for the traditional tent used by the nomadic tribes in the dessert. By extension, it also stands for the family, the home or the tribe as a whole. The flooring would consist of rugs for confort and partly for decoration too.
Over a century of skill and craftsmanship is woven into every rug we produce. Woven on jacquard Wilton looms with cotton chenille yarns, each beautiful rug has multiple layers of texture, distressed areas and intricate stitching detail to give a true ‘vintage’ look.
Woven in a fashionable flat weave construction, all our rugs are hand finished with reinforced corners and an anti-slip layer for a secure fit. There is a superb choice of sizes available too, as each rug is woven in 4 standard sizes ranging from 140 cm x 200 cm up to 230 cm x 330 cm, ensuring there is a size just right for every room in the home.
