    Measuring the sofa
    01. Start with the sofa
    The sofa sets the size of the rug.
    Ideally, the rug runs its full length.

    02. Give the rug room to breathe
    Leave some floor between the wall and the rug. If it's large, let it extend 30 to 40 cm beyond the sofa on each side.

    03. Choose your layout
    The layout depends on the size of your sofa and the space around it.
    Three situations, three rugs.

    SIZE: 280×390cm
    Sofa, armchairs and coffee table sit fully on the rug. It becomes the base of the room and everything feels connected. Ideal for a 3-seater or modular sofa.

    SIZE: 240×340cm
    Only the front legs of the sofa and armchairs rest on the rug. The seats draw closer and the mood turns cosy, without closing in the room.

    Lots of furniture, little space? Keep it around the edges and centre the rug under the coffee table. The room stays open and the rug becomes the focal point.
    04. Dare to go curved
    Straight sofa, shelves, frames: living rooms are full of angles.
    A round or organic rug breaks up those lines and softens the space.
    Just one rule: the coffee table follows the shape of the rug.

    Inside the curve. Slide the front legs of the sofa and armchairs just inside the rug for a more natural look.
