STONES is an ode to softness and movement. Its design, conceived as a succession of luminous and translucent forms, draws inspiration from the tranquillity of time-worn pebbles and the poetic fragility of soap bubbles. Each area of colour overlaps like a veil, creating a subtle interplay of depth and transparency. The colour harmonies range from cheerful compositions to delicate monochrome shades, capable of enveloping a room in a warm, contemporary atmosphere. With its soothing patterns and refined colour palette, Stones gently reimagines modernity and adds a touch of natural elegance to the most discerning interiors.

For nearly a century, De Poortere has been weaving its carpets in a single workshop in Belgium. No subcontracting: every carpet leaves the factory and is delivered directly to your home.

The single-material construction of Ecorugs is based on a patented technique developed in-house: designed to last, and recovered at the end of its life for a second life or to be turned into new yarn.

Material

Polyester, 70 per cent recycled (rPET). This figure is published, audited and increases every year: 20 per cent in 2023, 40 per cent in 2025, 70 per cent in 2026 — on track to reach 100 per cent.

Origin

Louis De Poortere is a family-run business, now in its fourth generation. Every rug is made in our own factory in Belgium and shipped directly to your home, with fast delivery throughout Europe.

Available sizes

Available in rectangular sizes ranging from 140×200 to 280×390 cm, as well as in round versions with diameters of 140 and 240 cm. The 100×140 size can also be used as a wall hanging.

Care

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Machine washable whenever it gets dirty. Colours remain vibrant over time. Suitable for use with underfloor heating. The back of the rug has a light non-slip coating — useful, but not a substitute for a suitable non-slip underlay.
