Ondine's circles

Legend has it that Ondine, a water nymph, came each evening to sit at the edge of a pond and let her fingertips drift across it. With every touch, the water opened into perfect circles that drifted slowly towards the banks. This rug has frozen one of those moments: a ripple braided in a spiral, from heart to edge.

The blue hour on the water

Its rings alternate water-green and dusty mauve, those blended tones seen only at twilight, when the sky is mirrored in the pond. Hand-braided in natural fibre, each circle reveals the living grain of the plant: a material that shifts in tone with the light and with every step.
